Merdeka! Merdeka!

It's not as easy as it looks. The specially made bunting weights a tonne especially when the wind's blowing. It's not the most aerodynamic thingy to carry around. And contrary to what the other contestant is blogging about....

QUOTE  "so anyway i wanna express my dissatisfaction about other contestants who have MADE A NEW BUNTING OF THEMSELVES AND THE ISPC IN ONE and walk around with it HIGH IN THE AIR with the word 'spot me' on it...probably expecting to be spotted by a camera far away maybe...(ya ya i get it..but i thought one contestant was supposed to have ONE cardboard cut-out?)

i am sure the other 4 contestants who were with me today would say the EXACT SAME THING
that is not fair especially for those of us who have been about carrying the ISPC and stopping to pose with it and hand the name and ic stuff over..explain....
i don't call that 'creative'.....i call that CHEATING
not to mention that the ISPC (the real one) when gets caught with wind...gets really tough to handle (but that is part of the competition) " UNQUOTE

Here's my take on it: If you have thought about the scenario beforehand, you would have thought about getting Ika, Serena C and Pietro cutouts to stand out in the massive crowd of Merdeka revellers and I'm sorry it didn't dawn upon you to think out of the box and get yourself spotted in other creative ways. It's not easy to carry the cutouts and also the bunting around. I rest my case

Spotted by a bunch of students

Spotted by this lady whom I forgot to note her name down. Good luck on the RM200 quest!

Merdeka Eve

Took the opportunity to attend the Merdeka eve countdown @ Ikano/ The Curve.  Parking was almost impossible inside Ikano/ The Curve and decided to park by the roadside. Within 100m from our car, a guy who had setup his tripod to capture the fireworks display asked if he could take a few snap shots of us. We obliged shamelessly. Too bad we forgot to take a pic with our own camera.

Walking up to the concert area, we bumped into 2 ladies (far left in pic above) and also the Fire & Rescue hunks.

Camwhoring with Alicia

Spotted a few other cutout carriers at the same venue and exchanged a few words he he he. Ohhhh Serena C was the emcee for the night too. I bet her ego went to the moon having seen her own cutouts being displayed publicly.
